Even on the rims with the so-called polished lip (or lips), we have verified that the need to re-polish it to a mirror finish is much less frequent.
The rims, just after the engine compartment and exhausts, are the surface most exposed to high temperatures-RIM has the ability to withstand over 800 degrees without compromising its capabilities. The fact that this coating is specifically designed for rim protection gave Gyeon the opportunity to study it as best as possible to cover this single need.
Due to its SiO2-based structure, RIM offers very pronounced self-cleaning capabilities: the time for rim cleaning is greatly reduced, especially on complicated shaped rims. RIM allows the rim to be protected from corrosive brake dust, and a rinse with water and a mild detergent is sufficient to complete the cleaning. RIM also has high resistance to heavier chemistry.Q2 RIM is resistant to any form of chemicals with a pH value between 2 and 11. The duration is approximately. 12 months respectively 30,000 km.
Instructions:
Wash the rim thoroughly. Then clean the rim with Q2M Prep. Apply Q2 Rim and let it ventilate for about 2 minutes. Then polish with a microfiber cloth without stripes. The rim must then dry for 24 hours (harden the layer). Respiratory protection is recommended. Work in a well-ventilated area. Avoid application in direct sunlight. Nitrile gloves are recommended.
